I always knew I wanted to be a fashion designer. As a child, I would create garments for my dolls out of anything I could use, ranging from socks to handkerchiefs. Designing clothes has always been my dream. However, it took me a while to realize that this is what I should be doing. I graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders. Although I learned a lot and enjoyed it for a while, it was not my passion. After traveling for a bit, I found myself wanting to pursue a career in fashion design. So I moved to Denver and went back to school at the Art Institute of Colorado. While there, I was presented and discovered many opportunities in the fashion industry. Since graduating, I work in production at an outdoor gear company and freelance custom fashion designs.
